“ Unassuming from the outside, but the food is legendary. My wife and I came here during our honeymoon. The Shampan restaurant was almost empty inside when we arrived, and we were able to get a very good table inside the ship, looking out across the river, we loved the view and the rustic, maritime decor! It is a boat, after all. Although there were no free-form sections on the menu, the staff listened to our dietary requirements and were careful to follow them. We both had good portions of very tasty curries and the most amazing peshwari naan that I have ever had. I want to honeymoon here again just to visit this restaurant! ”
“ Great place to eat on a boat looking over the river ..staff were great food was lovely chicken saag very tasty a bit to mild for me ”
“ Tremendous food in an adorable moored ship! Largest assortment & tastiest pappadoms in Wales (we're here for 21 days). We were in India last year & the food here is outstanding. There's another Indian restaurant on the same road, which says it's licensed - but serves no alcohol. Shampan has a full bar. Service is very friendly & meticulous. HUGE menu. Shampan is at the END of the wharf; don't stop until you see the ship. Open Christmas night for dinner. We had a great time! ”
“ I don't remember having a better Indian meal! The food was superb! The staff were all friendly and polite. Being on a boat, the setting is brilliant. We watched the tide coming in around us while the sun set. ”
“ Outstanding food and service on a floating ship in the river. Great menu, fully licensed. Very friendly and attentive service. Most enjoyable dinner! ”
“ Ordered a takeaway. I've only recently moved to the area and had tried the other 2 curry places in Cardigan. I enjoyed both of those but this was by far the best. I'm vegetarian and the flavour of the food was lovely, with a really good mix of vegetables. They also deliver to over 3 miles away. They do charge a bit extra, but it was well worth it. It is now the only place I will go to for an Indian meal. ”
“ Beautiful takeaway service - Ordered 10 items and they were all cooked to perfection - The driver was incredibly friendly - Delivered within an hour - Fantastic! ”
“ I really liked this place. A curry place on a boat is a little bit different, and didn't matter it didn't float down a river, the experience was still worth it. The food was good, especially the boat specials. My partner had the buttered chicken, but the sauce was quite sweet, however the texture and amount was good. The service was good and as a restaurant was quiet however as a takeaway was quite busy Personally, I loved it as somewhere different, price wise was quite competitive. I learned also that bombay duck is in fact a fish. ”
